On Wednesday morning, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that Green is innocent, which could pave the way for him to receive more than $2 million in compensation from the state.
Man who spent 27 years in prison officially cleared
HOUSTON
Michael Anthony Green, 45, was sentenced to 75 years in prison for rape back in 1983.
He was freed this summer after DNA evidence cleared him from any involvement in the case.
