Last Sunday, A Galveston family was left stranded on a glacier in Alaska after the small plane they were in made a crash landing. They were all rescued a few days later. And now, the pilot who made that landing is talking about that flight. Pilot Don Erbey was flying the Lantz family of Galveston on a sight-seeing tour when the plane crashed on the Knik Glacier. Later, National Guardsmen in a helicopter would also crash trying to rescue them. They would all remain on that glacier until Wednesday when crews could get to all of them and bring them back to safety.

On Friday, Erbey took Eyewitness News Reporter Ted Oberg flying over that same glacier in Alaska for a first-hand look at the breathtaking view the Lantz family saw before their three-day ordeal.
