ABC13 flies over glacier where Galveston family crashed

HOUSTON Pilot Don Erbey was flying the Lantz family of Galveston on a sight-seeing tour when the plane crashed on the Knik Glacier. Later, National Guardsmen in a helicopter would also crash trying to rescue them. They would all remain on that glacier until Wednesday when crews could get to all of them and bring them back to safety.

On Friday, Erbey took Eyewitness News Reporter Ted Oberg flying over that same glacier in Alaska for a first-hand look at the breathtaking view the Lantz family saw before their three-day ordeal.
