Some local students are getting a chance to flex their creativity at the University of Houston Many elementary schools have cut the arts out of their curriculum due to budget cuts, and that makes what is happening at the University of Houston even more enjoyable to the 60 students from Houston's 5th Ward. They're attending a 3-week arts camp combining theater, puppetry, music, dance and fine arts.

It's all thanks to a 2-year grant from the Houston Endowment.

You'll see all the smiles and hear from the students in today's Hometown Live on Eyewitness News at 4pm.
