District unveiling new plan to develop downtown area
HOUSTON The District is announcing its new five year Service and Improvement Assessment Plan in a meeting with stakeholders late Thursday. Safety and security are among the key components of the 2011-2015 draft. And it includes efforts to better address issues with the homeless and aggressive pan handlers. Additionally, mobility is a primary concern and the District has a federal grant to offer new free or low cost circulating vehicles to help with ease of movement around downtown.
