New flashing yellow signals promote safety

SUGAR LAND, TX The yellow arrows are for drivers turning left, while oncoming drivers have a green light. If you get a flashing yellow light you can go carefully, just be sure to yield. Drivers have to stop at a solid yellow arrow before proceeding.

Researchers say studies have shown the yellow blinking light reduces crashes by as much as 30 percent over an eight year period.
