The Lucas County Arena is preparing to change its name. Huntington National Bank has reached a sponsorship agreement with Lucas County to rename the arena The Huntington Center. Something big is about to pull into Toledo. This morning at 11:00 the Toledo/Lucas County Port Authority welcomes MV Kumano from Norway, its first overseas freighter of the season. It's carrying fertilizer and will dock at Midwest terminals on Lawrence Drive. The freighter's arrival regionally signifies the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway System. Local officials plan to welcome the captain and crew with gifts during an onboard celebration.
Around 5:45 this morning a fire broke out at an apartment building in Toledo. Fire crews were on the scene at 31:18 west Sylvania near Rohr Avenue. We are told the fire was near the back of one of the buildings. Toledo Edison was called out due to down power lines.
New details in the case of a group of American missionaries accused of taking children out of Haiti following the earthquake without the proper documentation. A lawyer now says Haitian authorities have dropped kidnapping charges against nine of the ten missionaries. The group's leader, Laura Silsby, remains jailed. The other nine left the country in March.
The death toll following Wednesday's earthquake in western China continues to climb. Authorities now say more than 700 people were killed by the earthquake. Rescuers are still probing the rubble for sounds or movement.
A somber anniversary on the campus of Virginia Tech. Today marks the Third anniversary of those fatal shootings on the Blacksburg, Virginia campus. Student Seung-Hui Cho killed himself after opening fire in a university building. The rampage left 33 dead. Many students who were attending the school at the time of the shootings will graduate this spring.
A suicide bombing in southwestern Pakistan has killed at least seven people. Officials say the attack happened at a hospital emergency room where Shiite Muslims had gathered to pray for a bank manager who was killed.
A new UN report has found that the assassination of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto could have been prevented. She was killed in 2007 in a gun and suicide-bomb attack. The report says Bhutto's death could have been prevented if local government and various security agencies would have responded to the urgent security risk they knew she faced.

Israel has banned imports of the new Apple iPad saying it's worried the device's WiFi equipment could disrupt other wireless devices. So far ten iPads bought in the U.S and taken to Israel have been seized by customs officials.
Columbus-based American Electric Power continues to feel the fallout from the economic downturn which hurt sales of electricity, and now it needs to cut staff AEP wants to trim its workforce by as much as 10 percent. It's offered buyouts to all its nearly 22,000 employees in 11 states. AEP workers have until April 30 to decide. If too few leave, AEP says it'll move to layoffs.
A candidate for Lucas County commissioner wants to centralize 911 dispatchers. Tim Porter says right now there are seven dispatcher units in Lucas County. He says combining them into one facility would eliminate duplication of calls about the same situation, make operations more efficient and save money. Porter claims his plan would not eliminate any dispatcher positions. The Democrat is running to replace Lucas County Commissioner Ben Konop.
