Police: Alcohol factor in deadly crash

HOUSTON Officers say the driver of a white Chevrolet truck was on the Southwest Freeway service road when he slammed into a Nissan Frontier on South Gessner. A male passenger in the Frontier was killed.

The driver of the Frontier was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. Their conditions were unknown.

Police say both drivers showed signs of intoxication and face charges in the crash.
