Afterwards, the man reportedly went to the motel manager's desk and told them what happened. The man is said to be cooperating with police.

Police say the couple got into an argument at the Ship Channel Motel on the La Porte Freeway near Roosevelt around 6am Tuesday morning. Officers say the fight got physical and the man beat the woman to death.
