Good Samaritan rescues alleged kidnap victim
LA MARQUE, TX The good Samaritan who helped the terrified kidnap victim to safety is speaking out, saying she's shaken, but glad she was in the right place at the right time to help the Houston woman. Linzale Greer, 20, and a 16-year-old boy are in the Galveston County Jail, facing aggravated kidnapping charges. They're accused of forcing Deisy Delgado, 20, into her car at gunpoint at a Family Dollar store on Monday night. They stopped several times, at one point tying Delgado up and forcing her into the trunk. When the kidnappers stopped at a La Marque Wal-Mart and went inside, Delgado says she used her teeth to get the ropes off and kicked her way out through the backseat. Debra Killingsworth had been doing some holiday shopping and was surprised when Delgado ran up to her, telling her she'd been kidnapped. Killingsworth called 911 and let the kidnap victim lie down in her truck. She described the breathless few moments as she and Delgado watched the kidnappers leave the store. "I saw them and they walked around my truck and she raised up and she said, 'That's them right there,'" said Killingsworth. She told Eyewitness News the victim's wrists had been rubbed raw by the rope that had been used to tie her up. Delgado didn't want to go on camera, but says she's doing okay. Linzale Greer has a criminal history that includes burglary. He's behind bars on a $250,000 bond.
