How do you catch a 12-foot long Burmese python? With a garbage can, of course. A bike rider spotted the snake in Port Tampa, Fla., and stopped by a fire station for help. Firefighter Aaron Taylor tells the Tampa Tribune it was a monster.

Police and firefighters managed to guide the reptile into a big plastic garbage can. They rolled it back to the firehouse and waited for a wildlife expert.

Vernon Yates of Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation says the big snake is probably someone's pet because it's "extremely friendly" and well-behaved.
