Fake cop warning issued in Kingwood

KINGWOOD, TX The warning comes after a 10-year-old boy says he was approached by a strange man at a bus stop in the 22400 block of Trail Tree Lane. The boy says the man claimed to be a police officer. But when the boy asked for a badge, the man said he left it at home.

The boy ran home and his mother called the police. Police say it's possible the man was an off-duty officer, but they are treating this very seriously.
