Cops: Dad hid drugs on 8-year-old son

HOUSTON Around 6:30pm Monday, Montgomery County Precinct 4 constable's deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Porter area. Deputies on scene were assisted by several other narcotics law enforcement agencies.

According to Constable Kenneth Hayden, after deputies conducted an investigation, it was found that Michael Taylor, 32, from Porter gave his eight-year-old son a large amount of methamphetamine and cocaine to hold while the deputies were conducting a narcotics investigation. Once the drugs were discovered in the child's possession, Taylor allegedly became belligerent and had to be restrained on scene.

Taylor was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment. Taylor was taken to the Montgomery County jail and is currently held on a total of $13,000 in bonds.

The child was released to his mother, who was called to the scene. CPS has been made aware of this incident.
