Body found in ship channel

HOUSTON The body was discovered around 10am. The body was recovered near Dock 27, just inside the Ship Channel Bridge. The victim was pulled from the water and transported to the Coast Guard Station at the ship channel, where HPD detectives and the medical examiner began their investigation.

It's unclear how the victim ended up in the water. There's no word yet on how the victim died. An identity has not been released.
