Prosecutors say Dickson in 1988 was convicted in New Jersey of sexual assault of a child he baby-sat. Further details were not immediately released.
Dickson faces 25 to 70 years in prison. Sentencing is Oct. 2.
Agents in March searched Dickson's home on a complaint of child porn purchased via the Internet. Digital photos on Dickson's computer disk were identified as a now-2-year-old boy that he baby-sat.
Prosecutors say Dickson sought baby-sitting jobs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and worked at child-friendly sites including the Dallas Zoo and Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine.
