Today's the deadline for paying property tax

If you don't pay today, you'll face a penalty and/or interest. The downtown tax assessor's office on Preston is extending its hours until 6pm. The county's 15 other branches close at 4:45pm.

You can always pay online at the Harris County Tax Assessor/Collector's website.
