The small explosion started a fire at CES Environmental Services Saturday afternoon. The blast sent a large piece of a pipe flying into the backyard of Louise Garrett, who was asleep at the time.
"I heard a big boom and a shot, sounded like a shotgun. And I jumped up to see what was going on because the whole bed and the house was shaking," he said.
The pipe didn't damage the home, and no one was hurt. Firefighters tapped out the flames quickly.
No word yet on what caused the explosion.
