Student athlete hospitalized after seizure

At approximately 4pm Friday, a Pearland High School student had a seizure on one of the practice fields. He had been playing football with some other students after school.

911 was called and the boy's parents were notified. The injured student was conscious and alert when paramedics arrived.

Paramedics wanted to transport the child to Hermann Hospital downtown. Due to traffic congestion, they transported the student by Life Flight.
