Several citizens reported to police Wednesday, information that led police to speak with the Centers for Disease Control. The CDC is conducting a survey in the area related to the ongoing Health Report to the Nation. Police have identified the woman who approached the school bus as one of several people conducting the survey. Police will be speaking to her.

Police Chief Robert Wieners expressed concern regarding out of state vehicles used by those conducting the survey. "These vehicles are in our neighborhoods without being conspicuously marked with say magnetic signs to let the public know their purpose for being in the area."

Police emphasized that there does not appear to have been any criminal intent but perhaps a misunderstanding along with some survey practices that might need to be reviewed by officials at the CDC, said Wieners.
