Vote on temp housing for Ike victims possible

The Galveston County commissioners court may vote today on whether to open several mobile home communities for Hurricane Ike victims. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

An estimated 900 residents are still looking for temporary homes. The proposed sites include two communities on the Bolivar Peninsula and a series of clusters in Galveston.

The county already approved sites in Bacliff, High Island and Bayview.
