Teacher facing drug charge appears in court

HOUSTON Susan Michael was arrested Wednesday after HISD police found marijuana cigarettes and hydrocodone inside her car on the campus of Whittier elementary in east Houston.

Michael has been teaching science there for seven years. The district has moved her to a non-teaching role during the investigation.
