Two officers accused of assaulting another lawman

HOUSTON Pasadena police officer Tina Perez and City of South Houston police officer Timothy Troxell face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Prosecutors say that Perez used a text message to lure her former boyfriend, Pasadena police officer Marvin Ouellette, to her home last week to get beat up by Troxell.

"Absolutely absurd. It's nonsense," said defense attorney Charles Adams. "Apparently, a construct of the Houston Police Department. I'm at a loss."

Perez's attorney told us that Ouellette attacked Perez and that Troxell stepped in to defend her. Troxell and Perez remain free on $30,000 bond.
