ISLE OF WIGHT, VA Isle of Wight County spokesman Don Robertson says Thomas Lord of
Suffolk was shot Saturday in the back of the shoulder while
portraying a Union soldier during a re-enactment. Lord was
hospitalized and later released.
Sheriff Charlie Phelps says Lord was shot with a .45-caliber
musket bullet that may have been fired from a pistol.
Phelps says re-enactors aren't supposed to use live ammunition
and normally don't.
