Man arrested with weapons at Pelosi hotel

DENVER, CO The Secret Service says Joseph Calanchini of Pinedale, Wyoming, faces a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon. State officials say he didn't have a concealed weapons permit. Authorities aren't saying if the weapons were loaded.

Just before being released from jail on $10,000 bond, Calanchini told a Denver television station (KUSA-TV) that he doesn't watch the news and didn't even know the convention was in town. He says he was planning to go hunting.

Pelosi and other guests briefly evacuated the hotel. Police say they were never in danger.
