Some Houston athletes have picked up a few medals at the Beijing Olympics in the last 24 hours. Early this morning Glenn Eller of Katy took the gold in the double trap shooting competition. It's the U.S. Army specialist's third Olympics and his first medal.

Also the U.S. men's gymnastics team fired up as they came through with the performance they needed. The U.S. won bronze. They weren't expected to win anything with two members of their team out with injuries.

Houstonians Raj Bavsar and Jonathan Horton helped the U.S. team bring home the medal. They're coached by the Houston Gymnastics Academy's Kevin Mazeika.
