Fire knocks out power, gas to homes

HOUSTON A house fire on Tangier at Windfern is to blame for the outage. Flames from the home spread to a large tree, causing it to topple over.

The tree brought down power lines with it, and also broke a gas pipe deep underground, catching it on fire as well. No word yet on how long it will take to restore all the services.
