Husband charged with wife's murder

HOUSTON It happened just before 6am Thursday at a home on Leamington Lane near Covington. Damion Faulkner initially claimed he and his wife were victims of a home invasion. Damion was stabbed once and Dorothy Faulkner was stabbed several times. Damion was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was treated for a minor stab wounds. His wife was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Damion told authorities an intruder stabbed he and his wife and then fled their home. He described the attacker as an Hispanic male with a medium build, six feet tall, with a short spiked haircut and possibly a beard.

After reviewing the evidence, Sheriff's Department investigators determined that the facts of the case did not support the account of events presented by Damion Faulkner. When investigators confronted Damion with the evidence, he admitted to murdering his wife, Dorothy.

Damion cited financial and relationship problems as the primary reasons for the attack. As for the appearance of the scene and the initial report of a home invasion, authorities say Damion stated that he fabricated the entire story and staged the scene in an attempt to make the physical evidence support his claims. He has been charged with murder.

Two kids were in the house at the time of the incident. They were not hurt.
