An area law lawman is recovering after a crash Saturday. Investigators say a Harris County sheriff's deputy was headed to a call when he got into a crash in his squad car. Investigators say he had his lights and siren on while he headed through the intersection at FM 529 and Highway 6. But then, he crashed with another car.

The 17-year-old driver from that car is in a hospital in critical condition. The deputy is expected to be OK.
