Stanford HR sinks Longhorns

Jason Castro's two-run homer in the seventh helped push Stanford past Texas 6-5 on Saturday. Stanford's Drew Storen (1-1) threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Erik Davis, and Randy Molinda went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Cardinal (7-4).

Marcus Tackett (0-1) gave up Castro's homer after following Texas starter Kenn Kasparek, who gave up two runs on five hits in four innings.

Jordan Danks went 2-for-4 for the Longhorns (9-3), and Russell Moldenhauer had two RBIs.

Castro finished with three RBIs for Stanford.
