Beer thief returns to scene of crime

HOUSTON (KTRK) Crime Stoppers and HPD Robbery investigators are working together to capture the man who stole beer from a Telephone Road convenience store on two separate occasions, and threatened the life of the store clerk who tried to stop him.

The suspect is an unshaven black male about 6' - 6'3" tall, 230 to 260 pounds, with a medium complexion. He stole two cases of beer from the Timemart Shell station at 8250 Telephone Road on December 13, 2007 at 9:15pm.

The same man returned December 15, 2007 at 6:44pm and walked out with three cases of beer. When the store clerk followed him outside, the suspect threatened to shoot him. The suspect returned that same night at 10:36pm and the clerk told him he was calling police. The suspect threatened to break the clerk's legs, and left the store.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information phoned in to the Crime Stoppers 713-222-8477 (TIPS) hot line that leads to the identification, arrest and charging of any suspect in this case. All callers remain anonymous.
