Security guard kidnapped, left in his underwear following gun theft

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Curtis Duncan and William Eason are behind bars, just two of a group police say violently stole 73 guns, even cutting a fence to get to them. They allegedly kidnapped a security guard and left the man in his underwear. The 22-year-old victim was terrified during the ordeal last month, and for more than an hour, he thought he was going to die.

It happened at an Academy Sports warehouse on North Mason Road. According to court documents, a man showed up at about 3am on March 26 and asked employee Dillon Richardson how to apply for a job. Seconds later, police say he whipped out a gun and hit Richardson in the head with it.

Richardson says the man forced him into a vehicle with two other men and told him they would kill him if he didn't produce the key to the storage trailers. Richardson handed over the keys, but the men weren't done with him. Police say they made Richardson strip down to his underwear, drove him around and then shoved him out of the vehicle on the interstate. He flagged down a passing motorist who took him to a hospital and police were called.

After a month long investigation, where ATF agents tracked down some of the stolen guns and used social media to keep track of suspects, police say Duncan confessed and told them several people were gathering guns while he and others drove Richardson around.

Academy declined comment on the case, only saying that the company is working with ATF on this. Investigators say they expect more arrests to come.

Duncan, 25, and Eason, 24, are both charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
