Brandon Hamilton
Brandon Hamilton is an anchor/reporter at ABC13. Brandon comes back to KTRK after spending two years reporting and anchoring in Waco, Texas and three years in Charlotte, North Carolina.

It is a full circle moment to come back to Houston as Brandon was on the digital team for ABC13 from 2015 to 2018. While on the digital team, Brandon helped create content for ABC13.com and the station's social media accounts.

In Waco, Brandon covered the Killeen-Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) area, working out of the Bell County Newsroom. He covered many national stories, including the funeral of George Floyd in Houston and the mass shooting in Midland-Odessa in 2019. He also pushed top military officials for answers following the murder of Houston native and soldier Vanessa Guillen.

In Charlotte, he worked the crime beat, covering homicides, the rise in youth violence, and was a voice for families looking for justice. His reporting also took him to Washington D.C. twice, as the family of Shanquella Robinson pushed the Biden administration for answers following her death in Mexico.

Brandon's career started in Orlando, Florida as a reporter and web producer for a news-talk radio station. He also worked a season for the NBA's Orlando Magic.

He is a Florida native with a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree from Texas Southern University.

Some fun facts: Brandon volunteered in TSU's athletics department, the KTSU radio station, and was also an adjunct professor for the past three years, teaching journalism classes to undergraduate TSU students.

Brandon is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
