Man found shot to death on convenience store floor on Richmond Ave., 2nd man also shot, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead and another was injured after a shooting on the west side of Houston Sunday night.

Police said they responded to a shooting call at a gas station on 8601 Richmond Ave. near Schumacher Lane and found one man unresponsive on the floor of the convenience store.

The 33-year-old man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The second person, a 24-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Police had limited details about the suspect, only describing him as wearing a white hoodie, black beanie, multi-colored pants with white drawstrings and black shoes.

According to earlier information from HPD, it may have all started with an altercation in the parking lot.
