One killed in shooting outside southwest Houston pizza shop

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting outside a southwest Houston pizza shop.

The shooting happened around 1:30pm in the 8900 block of Westheimer near Fondren.

The shooter and victim started argument and that escalated to pushing. Then at one point, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times. The victim died at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Detectives are still trying to figure out what started the argument.

The shooter and a woman accompanying him ran to a nearby apartment complex. Investigators hope nearby surveillance video recorded the duo.
