Early Friday morning, a man broke in through a window to an apartment in the 700 block of Richey, and snatched a nine-year-old girl.
As the child was being carried outside, she was able to escape by screaming and holding onto the handrail of the stairwell immediately outside her apartment. She then managed to run back into the apartment and the suspect fled the scene.
