CHAPPELL HILL, TX (KTRK) -- When Andi Georgsson, and her husband Jonas bought land in the Chappell Hill area, and it came time to build, they wanted to go small.

"We have three young sons that love the outdoors and camping" Andi said. "We didn't want a big country home or log cabin. We wanted something small, modern and simple."

So they enlisted help from Waco-based Kanga Room Systems, a family owned business that has been designing and building tiny pre-fabricated stand-alone structures since 2010.

"From vacation cabins, to home offices, to yoga studios and child playrooms" Jeremy Ellis Co-owner says, "Our clients come to us for the high quality and variety that we offer."

The Georgesson family chose three modern structures, two 16x40 sized cabins and one cool shed that fits two twin beds for guests.

Andi says the design and building process was easy. "We only had about six decisions to make and our cabins were up and running in three weeks. It was simple, inexpensive and almost instant."

"We love our small spaces. It's perfect for our family weekend getaways and has everything we need," Jonas said.
