Man, daughter saved from southeast Houston house fire by homeless man

HOUSTON

It happened at a one-story home on Walker Street near Dumble around 1am. While police were talking to the homeless man to give him some recognition for helping saving the man out, the man apparently became agitated with officers and officers ended up wrestling him to the ground.

Police tell us he was either on drugs or drunk. He wasn't arrested, but officers did take him to a sobering center to get cleaned up.

Police say the man who lived in the house reset the circuit breaker and that's how it caught on fire.

No one was hurt.
