This alleged abuse happened at Tijerina Elementary School in southeast Houston.
Roman Zalasar is charged with indecency with a child. A 10-year-old boy says Zalasar kissed him on the mouth and face several times and touched him inappropriately at school last fall.
"Mr. Zalasar has been reset until March the 28th for arraignment; we'll see where it goes from there. He's looking forward to getting these issues resolved in the courtroom as soon as possible," said Defense Attorney Chris Tritico.
HISD says it removed Zalasar from the class room in December and reassigned him to off-campus duties. The school district also says it takes these charges very seriously and is cooperating with the investigation.
