Ex-Bryan officer monitored, fined for indecency

BRYAN, TX

Jurors in Bryan on Wednesday convicted 44-year-old Adam Brooks, then Thursday ordered him to wear an ankle monitor for 60 days and pay a $1,000 fine.

The Eagle newspaper reports the former Bryan officer must also surrender his peace officer license.

Brooks was with the department eight years when a woman in November 2010 saw a man sexually touching himself while in a vehicle. No charges were filed but investigators noted the license plate number.

Officers in February 2011 saw the car again near a College Station mall and issued a criminal trespassing warning to Brooks, who was then charged in the 2010 incident. He was arrested and resigned.
