Officers found the victim along the Gulf Freeway near Monroe. He was taken to the hospital and should survive.
According to investigators, the victim told them he'd been robbed and shot in the stomach.
The suspect ran away from the scene. He was last spotted going south on the Gulf Freeway feeder.
