It happened around 10pm at a home on Kilkenny near Cullen. Investigators could be seen talking to several people who could be witnesses, but the motive is still unclear.
Police say several 911 calls were made at 9:15pm to report a shooting in progress. When police arrived, they found a man shot to death behind one of the homes. They also found a second man who was alive. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition. His current condition is not known.
Officers say several shots were fired and that got the attention of neighbors. They are hoping one of those neighbors can help them catch whoever is responsible.
