Joseph Christopher Suber, 23, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to a probable cause document. He is accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl and forcing her to perform oral sex on him at a Katy-area home back in early July.
Detectives say Suber allegedly used his cell phone to record the sex act and sent it to someone else.
In December, the girl finally told her father about what was happening because she began receiving messages from someone threatening to send out nude pictures of her if she did not comply with things they wanted. The father then reported the allegations to authorities.
Authorities began investigating and traced the threatening messages back to Suber, prompting authorities to file the charge.
Suber's bail has been set at $30,000.
