Vacant home damaged in fire in SW Houston

The home sustained major damage during an overnight fire.

Firefighters say a vacant house caught fire last night.

It happened around 11:30pm on Harwin near Knollwest in southwest Houston. When firefighters arrived, they found flames shooting through the roof of the one-story home. They had to battle the fire from the outside but were able to put it out in about 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
