Texans acquire Jets' Derrick Mason

HOUSTON

Mason is in his 15th season, is 37 years old and is still productive having 13 catches in five games with the Jets. He was drafted by Tennessee in 1997 and played there for eight seasons before going to Baltimore for the next six, where he became the Ravens' all-time leading receiver.

He signed with the Jets in August, and is now a Texan. He's the 13th player in NFL history have 900 or more catches.

It's a good move by the Texans, and when Andre Johnson returns, they've got an experienced Number 2 or 3 receiver.
