A Houston man is on life-support after his live-in girlfriend allegedly threw boiling water on him in their northwest Houston home. Keira Jones, 17, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member. According to court documents, she became angry with her boyfriend, Ira Jones, Jr., this past Saturday because he had been speaking with another woman. At some point, investigators say she threw a pot of boiling water on him.

Jones, Jr., called his father who picked up his son, took him to his home and called police.

Paramedics transported Jones, Jr., to Memorial Hermann Hospital's burn unit. He has second degree burns on 15 percent of his body, and is in renal failure, according to doctors, because of the burns. He's currently on life-support.

Investigators say Keira Jones removed her personal items from the home and left. She was arrested Wednesday. Bond has not been set.
