Driver who hit pedestrian on Washington Ave. sought

Police need your help to find the person who was behind the wheel of a vehicle that struck a person in front of a Washington Avenue bar earlier this month. On April 10, the 31-year-old victim was trying to cross the street in front of the Washington Avenue Drinkery bar. The suspect was reportedly traveling westbound in a Chevy/GMC 2500 4-door pickup truck when he struck the victim, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then took off.

The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition, suffering a broken jaw, hip and ribs.

Anyone with information about the identity of the driver in this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
