On Tuesday, commissioners approved a $1.2 billion budget, which forces every county department to make cuts. The cound already had more than 1,000 jobs county-wide unfilled.

HOUSTON
Multiple sources tell Eyewitness News that precinct 2, commissioner Jack Morman's office, began laying off people at 9am Wednesday. Sources say he's expected to lay off 60-70 people.
