Jackson's bail for the misdemeanor charge has been set at $1,000. He had been employed by the HCSO since 2003.
Jailer charged with official oppression
HOUSTON
Drake Jackson, 40, is charged with official oppression. Jackson, a detention officer with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, is accused of performing a lewd act February 10 in front of a female inmate, violating her rights.
The inmate made an outcry to jail personnel earlier this month and an investigation was immediately conducted by the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
