Four arrested in sex assault of 11-year-old

CLEVELAND, TX Jared Len Cruse, 18, Isaiah Rashad Ross, 21, Timothy Daray Ellis, 19 and Rayford Tyrone Ellis, Jr., 19, all of Cleveland are the four men indicted for repeatedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Cleveland late last year.

Ross, we've confirmed through our Houston Community Newspaper partner the Cleveland Advocate, is the son of a Cleveland ISD board member. He has bonded out of the Liberty County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Still behind bars here are both Ellis' and Cruse, who is behind bars in neighboring San Jacinto County, charged with the aggravated robbery of a convenience store. Police believe he is the man in the mask caught on camera pointing a gun at store owner Mahab Patoli.

"He said give me all your money," Patoli recalled. "That's what he said. He said if you're not gonna give me the money, I'll shoot."

Patoli says despite the violence he faced, he is still surprised the 18-year-old Cruse is charged with the assault of such a young girl.

He said, "They're going to come down again and do the same thing again because they're young and they're training. They're going to keep on doing it and doing it."

The indictments against the men detail the horrible group assault of that girl and authorities tell us they are only the first four to be arrested. We have learned more than a dozen names were presented to the grand jury and more arrests are expected.
