Inmate charged with murder in teen's death

HOUSTON

Johnathan Aguirre, 19, who's also known as "John-O Da Outlaw," is accused of shooting Paul Gamino in the head around 2am on June 9, according to a Houston Police Department statement.

Authorities say Gamino was traveling with several witnesses when a four-door sedan pulled up beside him and started shooting in their direction and then fled. Gamino, who was sitting in the back left seat of the car, was struck by a bullet.

Gamino was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he died.

An investigation led detectives to Aguirre, who is already serving time at a Texas state jail in Beaumont on an unrelated charge.
