Residents say they heard a resident screaming from the third floor. That portion did collapse and hours later, a woman's body was recovered on the second floor.
"The police officer said that he was talking to her, telling her to jump, but she wouldn't," said resident Michael Carlin.
Investigators aren't releasing any more information on the woman at this point.
Four firefighters were hurt. Two were sent to the hospital for burns. Two others were treated at the scene. No word on any of the firefighters' conditions.
There's also no word on the cause of the fire.
